I have an i7-920 on a teeny weeny 3.4Ghz overclock and a pair of gtx460 cards in it. SMP folding on 7 cores on the cpu and both 460s folding also. For some reason the pc is running slow when I want to use it for anything other than folding. It always used to just slow down the folding if I used it it for surfing or business use but in the last couple of days it seems to just keep folding and everything else runs slow. Anybody have any idea why this might be?

What OS are you running, and how much RAM?

Running Vista, with 6Gb ram, but it hasn't changed, that is why I'm slightly lost, everything was fine from last October when I set up folding for the first time until last week when all of a sudden the machine doesn't seem to let other programs take priority.

    Disable Aero.
If you're uniing the gpu's at 100% and maxing the cpu then it will be fairly slow for other tasks
