Electronics Peltier question

    considering i have a powerfull enough power supply for like a 112 watt pelt? and yes i know i need a heatsink to cool the hot side... this isnt for a computer im making a drink cooler

    yah, but it will suck, it will shorten the peltiers life span considerably, you'll want something with the ability to control wattage going to the pelt.

    You have it going to the +5V line, so the pelt will be pretty underpowered, unless its a 5v pelt of course.

    so if i connect the red wire to the yellow 12v it would work? and then get something to regulate the voltage going to the pelt?

    Use a high power transistor and a potentiometer set up as a voltage follower. Then you can vary between 0V and about 11.5V (Transistor loss)
