Has a subforum dedicated to mice, keyboards, speakers, headphones, monitors, etc ever been considered?

I feel like it would reduce a lot of clutter in the Hardware subforum.

    Thoughts?

More subforums = more cliquey separation. The current structure was introduced to try and consolidate threads together to make sure they're kept lively and avoid the ghost-town subforums that we used to have.

So subforums/re-sectioning is generally a no-no. I can see the argument for having peripherals separate, but I'm not sure it's necessary.

You know you can filter by each at the top of every forum? In October there were 22 threads in the Peripheral tag.

Perhaps it needs a 'sound' tag adding.

Main example is the Mech keyboards thread. Though it's got a lot of useful info within, it's way too big and cluttered for people to search through at this point.

With a separate subforum it would be possible to have stickied guides, better organization, etc.

We can have a master-sticky for Mech Keyboards if you like - one to sub-link to as many guides as anyone would like to write.

There's no point making a fresh subforum as it won't give any meaningful long-term traffic, even if it becomes a mech keyboard heaven it'll still be comfortably outdone by Geekhack and Deskthority.
