For physics class I have to do a presentation on how a processor works, and somehow I have to relate it to physics. She said I could probly relate it to electro magnitism, but I have no idea.. Does anyone have any good sites for how a processor works or how it could be related to physics?

    Processors ...

I did a report on them for my A level physics, basically you can talk about the current semi-conductor silicon based chips (i know thats to do with physics). You can also then go on to talk about the future and quantum computing and other things along those lines.

Howstuffworks.com is a great web site, check it out!

you may want to look at something called the little man computer. its quite an easy way of understanding how a processor works and what it does

You could always calculate the terminal velocity of a processor when thrown out of a window in frustration

    LOL!

Yeah quantum computation is really interestign and easy to wirte about. You can go into as much detail as you like but its allway grounded in physics.

You could talk about the basics of a transistor.
Electron flow, current, voltage build-up, magnetics, fields, tempature, etc...

when you drop a processor, it falls, this is down to gravity (or similar).

    har har har my wit

presuming this is on earth i expect with an air resistance which is less than the force of gravity ;)

may i refer you to newtons 3 laws of something or other ;)
