I have searched and searched... and I had choice of these or OCZ with rebates... I know a LOT of companies (Especially Canada..) don't honor the rebates.. So I decided.. G.Skill would be the shiznit.. So let's just talk G.Skill.. will there be noticeable performance difference.. between the RAM timing..and the speed of the RAM?? (I'm not looking to have a power house..just something descent enough for my game rig..)
Difficult to say without experience of both types, but my past experience with other types of RAM leads me to believe the 5400 set may scale better. So while they have looser timings at 5400, they may well have tighter timings at 4200 then the second set. It would be nice to have the headroom for clocking also. I'd go with the 5400.
I'm going to be using Intel, and I'm not going to overclock... (BTW it's a Dell, ahahahahah i KNOW..but hey i got it so cheap.. it's not even funny..)
