Over the past year or so I've found my gaming habits have changed and I don't game as much as I used to and when I do it's often for short periods. An hour here, a half hour there. I love Football Manager but recent editions were getting to weighty and again I was finding it hard to find the time to play the game properly. This years edition with Classic mode has helped a lot to deal with that. I can load it up, play a few months in an hour and just stop. So what I am after is people's recommendations for games like that where you can drop in for an hour play a few levels/missions etc. and don't have to dedicate a whole afternoon/evening to playing it/learning the game. Hopefully some of the games are already ones I own as well so I don't have to spend any cash Thanks for your input
I do that with World of Tanks. 2-3 rounds in the morning before work after my Mrs has left as she starts before me.
TF2? Pretty intuitive, easy to waste an hour or two on. Matches are usually 10-20 minutes long, but with a timer at the top they are very predictable, and so easy to decide when to stop.
