Hi guys, im trying to setup port forwarding for my system and i was wondering if you could help?

I am using two pcs at the moment, one, my home pc is lan address 10.0.013 submet 255.0.0.0 and uses gateway and dns of 10.0.0.1 (my router)

the other is 10.0.0.2 and has my wamp (apache, my sql and php rolled in one)

i can acces the page by going to http://10.0.0.2 but thats only local pcs,

if i type in my wan address http://82.69.52.xx i get the router page, the same as if i went to 10.0.0.1

i tried using accu.org (a web access gateway) and went to http://82.69.52.xx and it gave me the page on my server, but without any images. I tried to setup port forwarding on my router, but cant find it, the nearest thing is "virtual server" which lets me input local and private port numbers on udp or tcp and enter them. I have done this but if i type in http://82.69.52.xx i still get the router page and if its done on a web access gateway i only get the text and layout, no images

    any help?

    wrong forum, try network.

If you're running NT on your gateway machine you can forward a port, by making a registry key/value, but i can't for the life of me remeber the name for that.

Also there is winroute, and others.

Most personal routers like that will refer to port forwarding as "virtual server".. My Dlink and SMC boxes both do..

Setup to forward port 80 on the "public" side to forward to port 80 on the "private" side and use your 10.10.0.2 address..

Note that if you trying browsing to your public ip from inside your lan you'll likely get the router page.. (best to have a friend test it out for you to avoid using problematic proxys and such)..

If you still get the router page from outside on the internet, then it sounds like you have some sort of remote admin setting turned on in the router..
