Like the headline says: "Post your best OC in this thread !!" remember some proof, ex. picture from WCPUID with the OC! AMD or Intel !! Happy OCing !!
ohh.. here is my best OC with these settings: 2400+ (2000 Mhz) @ 2465 Mhz FSB/Multiplier: 205 x 12.5 Vcore 1.85 (1.875) so, an OC on: 465 Mhz = 23.25 % OC proof:
No pic (since it was over a year ago - formatted since then) Tbird 1333@1633 AYHJA-R ~22% overclock. Ran a tad hot though ... 52*C Idle Ran it for about 2 weeks, then decided I couldn't seen an improvement over 1533 which ran a hell of a lot cooler!
AMD XP1500 (1.33Ghz) @ 1678Mhz (25% overclock) 134Mhz x 12.5 (cpu is unlocked, no vMEM though so higher fsbs are no good since the memory craps out if I want to keep tight timings..I run it at 1611Mhz though now, the cpu seems to have got worse over time so 1678s not stable, 1611 is absolutely rock solid mind so thats what I use day in-day out) Vcore: 1.85v I did have a go with one guys P4 1.6A, got it to 2.52Ghz which was a pretty nice overclock, some Northwood P4s are superb clockers, but that system wasn't mine
i can get my geforce 2 GTS (200/333) to core220mem380 remaing stable using no ram sink just a zalman zm80a HP smart
Thats with air mate, Alpha 8045 with Mechatronics 80mm 53cfm fan and I was surprised how far it clocked, pity its not stable anymore at that speed now (not sure why its now less 'clockable, slight electromigration? But 1611Mhz isn't something to sniff at really...any free Mhz is good Notice the motherboard (Asus A7V-266E) detects it as an XP2000, it does this whenever you use a Palomino cpu when one jumper on the board is set to Tbird/Duron instead of Palomino (which is what you need to do to get multiplier adjustment on the board) but it doesn't effect performance or any of the extra features the Palomino has over the Tbird core.
For how long have you had the CPU? You will decrese the lifetime of a CPU if you are OCing, but hey, by the time its dead you allready bought you a new My mobo (look in sig.) posts at 2800+
Stock is 2167mhz Im running at 2574mhz Increae 407mhz OC = 19% Not too bad! Tad hot at 61c Have just put a 120mm delta fan on and some new silver paste ill try it again soon
I remember __CyPHeR__'s Duron 600 that did 1200 (no ****) I went round his house because I didn't believe him My best being a duron 800 @ 1.2Ghz (50% overclock), with a Thermoengine with a delta (ewwwwww) @ 1.85V, 3.60V I/O on an Abit KT7-A RAID, 2 1/2 years, 4 hard drives, and 3 CPUs ago
hmm...cant really call this a OC but i took a K6-2 533 cpu running at 281 on some cheap compaq mobo and OCed it to run at 500...i burnt it out when it got ot 550
I've had the cpu since November 2001 I think...cost me £144 at the time and this motherboard was £165 (one of the first KT266A boards)....worth what, £25 for the cpu and the same for the board now? lol I know overclocking will reduce the life of the cpu, but not so much that I will be bothered as you say...if it lasts 5 years instead of 10, that doesn't concern me since I'll have upgraded long before then.
