    Hi trusted advisors,

    I have the current build:

    CPU - Intel i7 2600k
    Motherboard - Asus P8P67 Pro
GPU - Asus Nvidia 780 (Already upgraded as couldn't resist).
    Memory - 2x4GB Corsair Memory 1866 C9
    SSD - 256GB Crucial CT256M4 SSD
    Cooler - Corsair H50

Now my scenario is my wife has decided that she would like to join me and play on some games and would like her own computer. For this reason I have already purchased a BitFenix Prodigy Case in order to build a Mitx build.

The decision I am now trying to make is do I use this as an opportunity to upgrade my build to Haswell and then pass some of my current parts down to the mitx build, or do I leave my current build as is and just build a new mitx haswell build? The latter would obviously require me to purchase additional parts such as mitx motherboard for the i7 2600k and a new 1150 board.

Part of me likes the idea of building the below:

    CPU - i7 4770k
    Motherboard Asus Z87 Sabertooth
    GPU - Asus Nvidia 780
    Memory - 8GB or 16GB cant decide
    SSD - 256GB Samsung 840 Pro
    Cooler - Corsair H100i
    PSU - Corsair AX860i

    Thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

There's literally no reason for you to get haswell on a 2600k. I mean sure some of the upgrades would be nice but it's a rather large waste of money for what is a rather negligible upgrade.
