POTM POTM January '10 - Theme: Highways & Byways

As decided by last months winner the theme for December 09 and forward is: Highways & Byways

Remember:
Anyone can participate as soon as you have an account on the bit-tech forums.
Newcomers will benefit from reading the rules.
In short: images must be taken after the theme has been announced and should be submitted in both a thread in the Art & Photography section as well as to the voting website http://potm.webshaped.com.

All bit-tech forum members can vote. Use your forum login to authenticate and partake in naming the great POTM winner of the month.
Voting starts on the 25th and is closed the 28th. Winner of the current month and his/her picked theme for the following month is announced soon after voting has closed.

Bugger, completely forgot. Can’t believe may has gone so quickly. Mind you this theme isn't really an area that interests me. Can't believe there’s been no entries though

 

Hmmm, (obviously) I had a few ideas for this month but I've just been far too busy and forgot about it completely!

Perhaps a new theme is in order for next month, something with a broader range of interpretation?

 

How about "Curves" as a theme then for June?

Well, despite it being the 26th, the competition was still marked as open, so I added a photo.

It appears that there are actually two submissions this month.
There's both Stueys shot as well as "risingphoenix" who has submitted an abstract on the POTM site but omitted creating a thread...

If anyone (perhaps risingphoenix would like to step up?) disagrees with the POTM defaulting to Stuey then speak up.
I'll be closing the May comp within the next few hours.

Make it nice and broad, say... "summer" or something like that. Most likely people will be taking photos outdoors these days. There's also "wildlife."

 

Summer sounds like a great suggestion! I also like Colour. Anyways I think it's up to you to decide Stuey

 

hmm, we could go with Summer Colours, which could quite possibly be as broad as anyone could hope for.

 

I've announced June already. Now let's all see what we can make of "Summer Colours"
It can be a shot of anything... abstract, or anything you can imagine as long as it has summer colours in it.
So what are summer colors to you? Have a go at it. There are no prizes only something better: awe from fellow bit-tech'ers

 

Hopefully the category is broad enough to attract more entrants. Can we request for the contest to be mentioned front page on bit-tech?

 

Seeing just one entry this month I'll let it run into July as well.
