Got my new rig up and almost running...

Except for the RAID setup. I configured this in BIOS, saved and exited, then used the utility to set it up. Loaded the NVIDIA RAID CLASS and NVIDIA NFORCE Storage Controllers via the floppy in Win XP setup. (The RAID array is setup for RAID 0 - Striping).

All works fine until I try to actually format the thing (via WIN XP setup). I get to the screen where you choose partition sizes (or 1 partition) and then Windows setup locks up before I can get to formatting the drives.

What am I missing? Something in the Phoenix Award Bios? Any ideas? Using two identical SATA Maxtor 160 gig hard drives with a DFI LANPARTY motherboard. Drives show up fine in BIOS.

    THANKS MUCH FOR ANY IPUT!

Yeah, use the Floppy that came with the motherboard, works fine for me. :)

Did you press F6 during setup (to install the RAID drivers)?

    Thanks Fellahs-

I finally figured it out. It was the Maxtor drives I was using that don't get along with NF4 motherboards. I could have gotten a firmware update, but decided to send them back to NewEgg and then picked up a couple of SATA 2 Seagates. NO PROBLEM AT ALL! Highly recommend them.

Thanks again for you input here!
