Windows Programming Languages

    Ok first off I have sod all knowledge about programming, but I want to try and learn a language, just want to try and do some LCD and Winamp related stuffs.

    1) What’s a good language to start with
    2) Any sites / books people recommend to help

    I will prob give up after 10 mins or so but its worth a try :)

    1) visual Basic as its prteey easy stuff.

    1) pah java, object pascal, VB ?
    2) blacksun.box.sk has some books/links to books on a variety of subjects.... u may of course want to look at code.box.sk also... probably some language specific websites i can't be bothered to find :p

    Visual basic should be to easy to learn
    try the microsoft site you may find some online tutorials in the msdn part.

    Visual Basic is very easy to learn, the best book i can recommedn you is Sams learn Visual Basic 6 in 24 hours. Brilliant Book.

    I also know C++, some Assembly, Perl and Python.

    Why not try Delphi - very simple and VERY powerful language, it's what LCDC is written in - plenty of components and Delphi 6 personal edition can be had for free (although all apps come under a personal license or something!

    might give Delphi a bash, like the sound of free :)

    Got it downloaded now, You dont happen to know any good help sites do you Mat, as like I said before I dont have a clue what im doing :)
