    This looks absolutely wonderful.
I haven't really been on much since mid October because of open heart surgery.
The amount of work gone into this project so far is totally inspiring.
Keep up the great work!! I hope I stay alive long enough to see the finished product!!

Excellent work... It's looking great. :thumb:
One design idea you can take or leave, have you thought about a thin illuminated colored plexi layer under the front panel? I don't know if you want to make it all metal, but think a little glowing outline under that front panel would look sweet.

    Thanks guys!

MoRBID: Now you're just touching me. I feel very honored. I sure hope you'll see the end result!

MM: I had that Idea but I constructed such a thing on my previous case. And in the end I ended up having the lights turned off most of the time, so I will be skipping that concepts this time. Just going for a clean look.

Update #11 Jan 19 (Front Completed!)

A full weekend filled with modding, nice!

Mostly been working on the front. Just got it finished and it feels very good. Not much left now before it goes off to paint / brush / anodize. Needs some holes, a cover etc. But I'm starting to see a light in the end of the tunnel.

Pics of todays update, here ya go!

Cut out a hole in the front bezel for the Alphacool LCD display.

    Fits snuggly
    [IMG]

Got mounting holes drilled for the display and also cut out a opening for the DVD reader.

Tried it on the case to see that things fit as they should.

Going for a stealthed DVD reader. Had to make this piece separately. Took a bit of work to get it perfect but I nailed it I think.

Cut out a hole for the grill in the front. Also got the mounting holes drilled.

Positioned the front bezel on the front panel and drilled all the mounting holes.

Also cut out a hole for the grille in the front panel. Filed and sanded it a bit.

With grill and all the new holes I tried the fit of the front on the frame.

Tried a flash-pic. Normally the flash will enhance any defects such as scratches etc. But as you can see I've managed to keep the case from getting any.

Cover for the LCD display marked out.

Cut out and drilled. Also tried a little brushing.

And drilled a hole for the power button.

    Front completed.

And a test fit on the case with the outer panel positioned. Looks cool :)

By flat black do you mean the matt black that is used in some tuned cars?I'm asking because i want to paint my case in matt black too.

Yep, usually when you buy paint you buy "flat black" or "matte black". Personally I think they look a bit grey, which is the reason to why I want to anodize it. Anodizing gives you a really nice deep black (Like on my fan grilles).

yeah, but flat black cars get messed up easy though
finger oil and stuff shows up really easy and stays there

Yeah that as well. I think anodizing is a really good in several ways. Apart from beeing black (Compared to matte black "greyish) it is very resistant to grease and finger smudges. It is really tough as well. It's not like you can peel anodizing off :D

This mod is amazing, just amazing!
I don't know how many times I've started to write a comment to your work, but I'm speetchless every time! I just stare at the work, trying to figure how it's possible, and never gets to the point where I write something...

But I just wanted to ask you something; what would it be like if you polished the LCD cover and the DVD cover? I think it would look great with the flat black overall look.
But hey, it's just a suggestion, it's your mod, so don't let me, or anyone else, speek you into something you don't want to make your casemod into!

*getting back to stare at the amazing work*

Quality Case, simple yet striking..write to TT (or the like) and suggest they pay you for your design. would be nice to see a mainstream case builder take some notes from this...

Thanks man! You're not bad yourself :)
Concerning your idea about LCD cover, I think that would look good as well, but I think I will stick with black to most parts of the case. The fancontrol knobs and startbutton will stay silver, I'm probably going to keep the skrewheads silver as well so I think there will be a little contrasts here and there.

talladega: Mind control (or maybe a vandal-proof button on the back of the case ^^)

Thanks all of you that have rated and commented my project kind-hearted. I really do appreciate it!
