    Thank you Sir :thumb:

    Update Update.

I've been working on this for a couple of days but nothing worth posting was actually done. (If you guys dont remember I am doing a monitor mod :p)

I finally got the LED's sleeved with the Drain cleaner. This was tricky. The drain cleaner has a 1/8" ID. The wires are 26 gauge wires and 2 of them approximately account for all of the diameter. So when the LED's are soldered and the heatshrink added the whole thing is a tight fit.
The soldering had to be spot on.. A small extra solder here and there.. and the LED wouldnt fit into sleeve (aka drain cleaner :p)

This is how the acrylic rods will be lit . The LED's are not stuck into the rod. They just seamlessly fit in :).

With all the wires in. This gives it an industrial look.. something that I was aiming for .. This sometimes looks a little excessive to me. but I am hoping that the monitor and all the wires will blend in once the monitor is painted black.

    We have light :D
The side of the rod is not scratched. Its the residue left by the masking tape that I used.

    Some more light

    Thanks for looking,

Looks cool with all the cables coming from the back. Reminds me of those machines from the Matrix.

Yeah indeed. It's a little weird to have all those extra lights on a monitor, but it looks cool :)

Yehhhh I got the painting done :D

    Rustoleum & Speed painting ....

    The base...

    The monitor chassis

My duster reflecting off the surface of the chassis :)

I also visited the hardware store today and picked up some Fusion Metallic Shimmer. This is the closest I could get to chrome. The paint is silvery and has a nice shine to it.

I did 2 coats for each of the drain cleaners aka sleeving. The look pretty slick now.

The plan for tomorrow is to sand and polish the acrylic pieces.

    Thanks for Looking,
    - wasted :)
