A friend of mine and I are working on a new computer for him. Starting from scratch, modding it, and even getting it to count as a school project! First, here's the case... Plans so far: PC Tachometer Install LCD Screen on the doord (Following msobik's HOWTO guide) A window Whatever else we think of (I want to paint Knives Millions from Trigun on the other side...) To coolest bit so far is going to be the window. We are going to paint it completely black. Then, using the dremel's etching bit, we are going to etch away the paint (and probably a layer of the window) into the shape of the Punisher Skull (hence the name of the project). And to top it off, my friend is working on a circuit of LEDs to fit around the skull and flash upwards in a strobing fashion. Aside from my own case, this will be my(our) first major modding operation. This is also his cry for help to replace his old Compaq desktop rig.... What do you think, sirs?
A better idea for the window may be to etch the skull and then use masking fluid to fill up the etch before spraying the black paint on. Then remove the masking fluid, leaving a clear etched area (which you can light with edge-mounted LEDs ). *n

It's very much in progress. I just got to pry my friends camera out of my little brother's hands. Currently sheathing all the power cables. Need to buy more sheathing tho...
Ok.... We hit a fundage snafu. We both work pretty horrid jobs, so the funds have halted until recently. The motherboard's in (Asus A7V333 w/RAID) and a nice little AMD 2200+ should be hitting my mailbox by the end of the week. The only real thing that sux about this is that I merely follow orders. I have to wait until the funds come in for parts before I can do jack... If we don't finish it by the time I turn 21 (March 16) I will be upset. Drunk, but upset.
ALRIGHT!!! SPRING BREAK WILL BE INTERESTING NOW!!! Small update: Our AMD 2200+ Processor come in today! WOOHOO! *gasp* Anyone recommend a good fan? or is the AMD brand a good one to start. I'll grab some artic silver this weekend!
