thank you for your wishes. I noticed that your BMB has some similarity with mine, for the face plate. Yours is very cool This is my first mod. Last year i had a design in mind, much simpler than this one. It will be the next one i make after DarkBlue. My third box, though...
Update for 30th July this update went to the bin. I will not put aluminum front face, but a black plexi one. greets to Klekkus
Nice, I have to do the same thing on BMB. I think you should use alu and then plexi too cover the drive in the front
Great start so far. As for a UV lamp in the case, I would say it was safe but would create a large heat load. So if you want UV you might want a CCFL UV light.
update without pictures The optical drives won't fit (FOR 2 MILLIMETRES) will move them 2 slots up moved them... The tubing is not perfectly safe. No leak so far, but i can not be sure. changed tubes etc so it is now leak proof Aquagate mini is very difficult to work with. In fact, i spent 4 hours, and water was everywhere and i WAS STILL GETTING BUBBLES. learned how to fill it... it was easy, i am just stupid The vidcard doesn't have a fan and now due to the reduced airflow it gets unstable . Underclocked to save it for now. current vid card has fan, will replace it for a WCed 6800. Need to make blocks for it...
Project DarkBlue, small update, somewhat dialup friendly smallish update waterblock... copper and two pieces of plexi. Performance is obviously horrendous but all it has to cool is a celeron then we put these whatchamacallits... and we pray the other thingies did their job well otherwise we will be looking at cracked plexi there are many ways to seal a block... mine is the most heavy duty this is how it will be placed in the case this is not how it will look in the dark under uv, because my camera sucks and it is supposed to look purple, not yellow. i will probably change it for blue in the future, after all the project IS "darkBLUE"... This is the face of the case. A big slab of black opaque (not transparent) plexi with slots for the drives and a hole for the rad. More holes to be made for power button etc. thanks for your interest.
casemod finished but it is a disaster. the rad fan is somewhat loud, the vid card fan is loud... one optical drive failed... working on the second version of this design which will look better, cost less and actually work
