Put masking tape on the area where you need to cut so you dont hurt the paint. And concerning the drives get a zip drive and superdisk drive and ofcourse a jazz drive. the list cna go on forever if you want it to read anything.
thanks jaguarking11 okay i really do plan to make this thing read anything. the only thing im worried about are ide an SCSI controllers so far the only jazz drive i see in ebay are scsi does anybody know where i can get them cheap in the US? also where can i get long IDE cables. im having trouble connecting the drives since the case is huge and the cable i have are simply to short. I also need a cable with some length between the master and slave would it be safe to simply mod a regular ide cable? any more drives you guys want to add to the list?
a few more updates well i ordered a bunch of stuff online. here are the fans im using i also added a coplu pairs of blue and green cold cothodes (sorry no pics) The hdd bay and cooler for the primary 80 gig has also been painted
Let's not forget the old WORM drive. I'll never forget those. Good old magneto-optical drives, so very slow, but they could fit a huge amount of stuff in the day.
They haven't gone anywhere... Sony has a 9.1GB Magneto-Optical drive out...really nice unit - the SMO-F561/S - it's a $2000 drive though.
