Next was to start work on the LCD Side panel Mod. This will prolly be the main feature of the whole pc.....so was looking to try and add something new to the old LCD in the side panel mod.
Took me a looooong time to find the exact LCD to use, but was worth the wait.

Next was to cut the hole in the sidepanel for the window/lcd mod....

The idea was to have a LCD and also have a Window!!

Ok HP-Res II now has the best of both worlds.

I wasnt very happy with the first El-Cheepo light mod so this time i made a JIG to get it more square.
And serves as a bit of a HOW-TO for others to follow :thumb:

Net mods was back to the front of the pc,
I wasnt happy with the plain look of the front now that it was all filled and bondo'd, wanting guages that would work with the shape and theme of the case i opted for a countersunk guage look!
inspired by the sports dash in my old mazda 323!!

there is still as bit of clean up work to do on the front but will have some more pictures posted asap :)

    Cheers.

Looking good, but. Is that chromed or just pollished? If thats chromed take some more pics of it. Looks as though they didnt do a good job.

Tru!! Due the the way the chassis can only be broken down into 3 sections polishing bfor the plating was near impossible.

So its a chrome job on an unpolished surface wich gives a better than nickle plate effect.

but still a hell of a lot better than the crappy old grey paint...............

The chrome looks great! as does the bondo. HP should be paying attention to your mod, they might learn something about how to make a pc look good. Keep it up. :dremel:

thats just the undercoat (highfill) :) not too sure what the end colour will be

The original HPres1 was silver and black......

thinking HP2 will need something dark metalic with pearl thru it and all the one colour :)

Ah the case that god a lot of posts over on CMG's FOurms i thought it was you, hey the mesh you used for you side fans on HP1 where did you get that and how sturdy is that. I was actually thinking of using the stuff on the top of my pc.

P.S. Why you say Newbie guy here, from it seems your not a nØØb, jØØ r L337 with a work of art like that.
