I need a name for this so help me out guys. Anyway, I've already started modding my PC-70 I'm not going to let you in on what I'm planning, but I will keep you updated of my progress. At the moment I'm making a replacement front face for my Audigy2. I cut the clips off the back so the faceplate would sit flush on the aluminium 5.25" bay plate The template sits perfectly The excess aluminium was cut away from the 5.25" plate The holes marked out The holes drilled At the moment I'm filing the holes back to the correct shape and size. More pics when I'm finished, which will probably be tomorrow now. I hope to cut a small window for the IR receiver and the "SoundBlaster Audigy2" logo. I will paint some thin perspex black, but mask off an area for the receiver and also the logo. I will then tint the rest of the perspex so when the PC is on, the logo is backlit with a blue LED or two Pics soon
Whoa, I was looking into getting a PC71. Cant wait to see the mods to your case. Looking good so far. zack: love the av, cone high is funny
Next time do the dremelling first. I'm sure it kills too do all that filinh and then ruin the plate cutting a rectangular hole. you're probably less likely to cause major damage with a hand file than a disk doing thousands of rpms. you should just go with "Project Hyooj". It looks like some exotic RPG term or a street fighter move until you pronounce it.
Next time try to do the cutout markings on the inside of the faceplate. Or just use needle files. that might help cover up any damages.
Can't file a 1cm dremel line I did use needle files, it's not difficult to cut it out or file, I was just being careless
Yay I love it when parcels arrive, pity I don't get to play until after work The wires connected to my new toy Can you guess what it is yet? Yay my new six channel fan controller The LEDs look kinda orange and yellow, but they are actually very nice red/green bi-colour. These fan controllers were reviewed on bit a while ago, they're very good Oh yea and I also put a vandal resistant switch in place of my power. This means there's a cable preventing the front panel being removed completely but I'll fix this with a quick release connector. I also plan to use the same type of switch for the reset button
SWEET!!!!!!!!!! verdana That looks absolutly sweet m8 n1, That case of yours is going to look soooooo 1337 when finished, OH YEAH 1337 AS BEEEEEEEEEP! n0zz
I hope that was sarcasm. Infact, I've never seen someone type like that and not used it as an ironic statement. Maybe I hang out on the right forums. *n
Hehe, probably not the brightest thing to admit but I actually know him and I'm pretty sure (i hope) that he was joking
