Hi there got the last 2 parts of lasercut metal today and bolted on to case to test.

Back panel




Side logo panel. My custom ICUTEBLUEZONE logo will go on this.





Did sum work on the front part tonight. Fulled in the old holes and made it all smooth.




Will updercoat it on weekend when its warmer and when i have more tie plus will have more parts by then.

 

what did u use to fill the old holes..?

I used a filler called: Plastic filler is same as Bondo or bog but a little runny its go as it goes into holes and gabs a lot easyer as its more runny. Then just sanded 1st with 120 then 400 and then 1200 grit sandpaper. will take a phot of the filler tonight as Im at work at the moment. I think its a CRC brand off to of my head but mite be wrong.

is the thing u mentioned as same as putty,isopon..?

does it need hardener?

Yeh its a filler and has hardener its a redy hardener and the filler part is white. Will be working on the case this weekend smoothing all the edges and getting them ready for prime and paint. dads dooing it as hes a car painting and does mint work.

Got my 2 dual layer dvd burners today.

Yeh im like the look to and thay also do Lightscribe to not that i was to worryed about that xtra lol.

I have a free 5.25 bay Dont no what to install in it was thinking of getting a card reader but what else is there.
I have room for 4 hdds all ready so dont need it for that. Any thing you no of?

 

I'm a big fan of fan controllers to cut down on the noise.

 

do you want to paint the front ? Because I had difficulties with painting it. There were bubbles in the paint and so on... I had to sand the hole panel and then to apply filler all over the front..

 

I have sanded the hole plastic front part will put under coat on it tomorrow if it not rainging and see how it goes.

Did you undercoat?

This is the bezeled blue leds im getting x2 for the hdd and power led.

 

I saw a plastic putty..thats good..

I thought u are using putty for cars..

Hi little update for now spent most of day smoothing edges on metal and cutting the bolts shorter for the chrome dome nuts. will work on the case more tomorrow plus have a mates pc I have to have a look at.

Photo of the top front of case were I had to mod room for the bolt heads for the acrylic.


Back panel part smoothed and bolted on with the chrome nuts. Plus the side panel handles that will be painted black.


I have also finshed the top smoothed it and got the chrome nuts on but havent takin photo yet will tomorrow after I have done the sides.

Im new to pc modding but use pcs and fix them no and them.

I have modded xboxs before I have had 4 xboxs and all had chip and hdd changed. heres sum photos of them.

this is the crystal xbox I had chipped 500gb hdd. XBMC.




This is my slim colour change xbox i made. chipped and 40gb hdd fan upgrade.




Paint work on it changes colour in differant lights purple, gold, green, black.


This is my 2 hdd xbox i modded 2x 10gb hdds and case windows.


After about a 1/2 a year i stripped it and made it to a slim xbox.


Changed the green xbox logo to gold to for it.

Spent today smoothing more and tested what the fans looked like.






At moment im waiting to get my case feet from my nabour hes making them out of alloy 50mm round and 18mm high as Im going to be installing 1 of the cold cotholdes under the middle of the case to give it a under case glow. The feet are polished alloy and look good he has made 2 so far.

Hi there got my new feet for the case today. Alloy. My nabour is the man thay are mint. He showed me his Lathe and I want one noe lol its a mini size matal lathe about 1m long if that the lathe.

I will be putting rubber on the bottoms on the feet.

 

Damn....I love those feet.....

Accent light. Frost a piece of plexi and fashion a bay cover that makes the frosted plexi filter light down the front of the case? Use some low power LED's though...
