This project has gone under way for some time now... didn't want to uploade any pics. before something big happened... there just did, i got my Watercooling... Working on: Gonna attach some kind of wheels and put the Radiator under the Case. Cut a hole for the Resovoir in the top. Finish the front panels. Find some kind of way to attach the damn Chipset cooler... The one i ordered has to be attatched by holes, but my freaking mobo. do got any holes... any suggestion ??? Check out some preview pics here. Out of this world. Look at the News.
Okay i got a question now... Would it be effecient enough to attach 2 x 120mm Papst fans on the bottom of my case and have them blow air down onto my radiator, wich is gonna lie under the case... Would i get all the heat from the case when it's on the bottom...
It should work, but remeber heat rises so it would be an 'up hill battle'. But being a NewB I'd wait for a more seasoned modder to answer..
Damn my plan failed... after i mounted the wheel i realised that there wasen't enough room for my Radiator... :cries: So now i have to mount into the top of the case... gonna have 2 x 120mm fans blowing down on it from above instead... Also i am very affraid that i might have ruined my GFX now... i was detaching some of the pipes, but then i got ahold of the wrong pipe... and water just got all over my GFX... DAMN !!!! hope the freaking water is going to evaporate before tomorrow...
Could some try answering me this time ??? Wich direction is the two top fans suppose to blow... out or in ??? Note: there gonne be placed right over my Radiator... both 120mm... Also still need a suggestion on how to attatch my Chipsetcooler... it looks like this... Update: My GFX survived... DAMN IM SO HAPPY !!! Next thing in line... Wait... Need my dad to get to work and get me some circel drills... (he can get them very cheap thorugh his job) Waiting for a dude who's helping out with or house to get here with a special saw wich can cut the plexi, for the front casing, in a straight line...
thats one shiny looking cooler you got there!!! fans on the top of the case should blow out. As for attaching the cooler Id reccomend putting a 4-40 bolt thru it then the board and a nylon nut or spacer to hold it on(metal ones will chew up the board). Use m3 bolts and nylon nuts or spacers if you are metric.
Thx for the info... Hydrogen18 Noticed one thing while I was looking through the Preview pics again... This pic here... When this pic was taken the fan was on ? It looks as if the fan ain't on but it really is... dont really understand this...
My mates kodak digi-cam does that i suppose it takes the picture so quickly all the fans don't look like there spinning
okay... just that on a nother pic. the fan dosen't stand still... ? But nevermind that... Status: Still Waiting...
next time u have a wc problem, just post a link in the wc forums......we dont venture outside our domain too ofter a general rule of thumb is to try to blow the coldest air possible onto the radiator, room temp air is 99.999999% always colder than case air...... as for the vid card, unless it wuz on and u smelt burning stuff or u saw smoke ull be ok.....just dry it off with a hair dryer and make sure its completely dry before u try to use it..its the electricity + water that kills cards, not just water.... the chipset cooler should have come with some sorta mounting hardware and maybe some instructions..... now with the tubbing im not sure on the exact tubing but its probably 8mm......try going to the place that u bought the block at or check out some of these vendors....... good luck
