Today I did some progress in building the chassis for the motherboard.

Also today my parcel arrived with the fans I need.
There actually red, but with the flash on they look a bit pinky.

These thumbscrews will be used to fasten the motherboard and expansion cards.

I sawed some plexi with a width of 15mm(1,5cm).

    The i/o shield done.

Here everything glued in the right place.
Now I have just reached the conclusion after it is glued that I those two small piece of plexi, where better made in 1 piece.

There must still be sawed pieces plexi that will come between expansion holes.

Furthermore I will also think which grill I will make.
Or something to place in front of the fans.
You will see more on the nexts updates.

Nice project. I like your dark smoked plexi, looks cool.
I'm just worried abot that glue - is ti going to keep all together? Is it strong enough? After you finish and add all hardware inside it will weight a lot more then just a case.

This morning I did the most glue work for the motherboard tray.
Here you see a pic of the finished motherboardtray.

A few pics when the motherboard and a videocard installed.
I've placed the videokcard in the 4 pci-e slots and all the holes are perfect!

    Tomorrow more.

Ps: The pci-(e) slots that aren't used will be covered by a home made thing.
    With thing I means this.
I will make this thing in 3 mm red plexi.

And does someone have an idea for an fangrill that i can made??

I drilled the holes and tapped thread in for the motherboard spacers.
This is the result after drilling and tapping.
The hole you see comes under the motherboard. The hole is for the ATX cables and other cables.(ide, fans,...)

With the motherboard mounted on the spacers.

    Motherboard placed in the case.

Motherboard with a videocard.(not the definite videocard that will come in the case)

I hope you like it. ;)

    Thx.^

The color of the fans is not what I expected.
    They are pink. :grr:

I need to use other colors.
    Green or blue are options.
I prefer BLUE and you guys??

Can't you just order some red LEDs? The UV is what turns it pink, ain't it?
Changing the LEDs is cheaper for sure...

Wow, I'm seriously impressed by the expansion slot back plate made from acrylic. Props. Also likin' the red ATI ram. Congrats on all the hard work.

Here you see the corner of the case glued. The corner will not be visible, it wil be covered with an alluminium profile.

    he color for the fangrills.

The profiles are not yet on the correct dimensions.

Ps: there also come a roof(lid) on the case you might remove if necessary(replacing hardware or such things)
For this reason the profile must be a the thickness of the plexi longer along the upper part.
    Hope you understand.

The profiles are a bummer actually
But the blue fans are better than red ones indeed; they match the motherboard quite well!

Today I did a little work.

I've add 2 UV leds inside the cooling system of the motherboard.
I've removed the metal MSI cover before I could install the leds.

    cover removed
    [IMG]

    2 UV leds
    [IMG]

the cable with molex connector for power
    [IMG]

    leds installed
    [IMG]

cover replaced and hidden the cables between the copper pipes
    [IMG]

A picture in the dark will come later.
Normally my packet with BLUE fans and some other stuff will arrive tomorrow.
