Case Mod - Complete Project Raffle 2017

Hello all as i am going to enter the Thermaltake modding trophy 2018 so i am posting up my first build log from 2017 as it was only published on facebook.

After winning the 600€ coupon from Alphacool back in March last year I was inspired to try a bit of modding and try and fit a full custom hard tube loop in to my old case i only had a hack saw, cordless drill and a file.

My aim was to turn my nine year old Lian Li V1000z case to modern classic with a Nvidia theme and was quit pleased with the outcome for my first Mod.

I used my old components which is listed below

So i have stripped my rig down and made some adjustments for cable managment now lets get it painted.

 

Now to make a new base plate for middle section and some panels for bottom section and hard drive bay.

 

Now to paint the ram , motherboard and SLi bridge I used full dip so i can remove the paint in the future.

 

This was my first ever time stripping down a gpu and was bricking it in case I broke my 1080s

 

Now to install the rads and mount the liquid cooling loop , also replaced the old wheels.

 

Looks great Sam, really like the colors.

 

Time to bend some hardtubes by hand for the first time.
