Hi all, Basically this is gonna be a light modded case, nothing major so dont be expecting anything . I'm just aiming for a nice new clean and tidy looking case. Heres the current Case and mess: Ive got lots of Green braiding and I shall braid all of it tomoro, i have ordered a new case aswell along with some new uv cathodes as my current ones are losing their brightness - http://www.thermaltake.com/xaserCase/tsunami/bwa/bwa.htm My current system is: AMD 64bit 3000+ DFI lanparty nforce4 mobo Pci-e ATI x800 256mb 1gig Corsair xms 3200 Ram Tagen 480Watt psu 80gig Sata seagate barracuda (soo to be 3, set up in raid) hyper 6 heatsink Braiding up tomoro, case arrives on thurs.
Two things: 1st: What did you to that poor case? Did you throw it out on the highway? 2nd: Nice choice with your new case. I've got this.
glowey! well, hardware looks good, and the case seems to have what I'd call a "good flashy" style to it (throwing a bunch of colors in mixed together fairly well)
Hey again, slight update. Ive just spent all morning (3 hours) braiding the PSU (*evils psu with to many wires and connectors*) Next up is to braid everything else but i will wait until tomoro for my case to arrive. As for what i did with my Case, I go to alot of LAN's, my mate has one roughly once a month. so my case gets moved alot and banged around, this case is a year old so i didnt really care as i needed a new one. the side window also got broken so i just took it off. So hopfulyl it will be nice, neat and complete on friday. I get 2 more 80 gig satas then (ma bday) so im goning to set them up in striping RAID. Thanks for all comments
Hi, i havnt been able to do much as ive been really busy with very VERY important things (alton towers + my 18th birthday ). I will be completing the braiding today and then i can start with the cable sorting. I still havnt got my Uv cold cathodes from ebuyer, they seem to be getting worse and worse, ive had a few probs with orders from there lately.
thermaltake own bradn 120mm 21dba fans thrown in......let me tell u now, good fans, stick them on a controller though as they a lil loud!
thats what i will be doing now, got my soilder iron ready and im about to make them 3 pin connectors for my fan ctr. there is one problem with installing the fan controller, this case uses these "slide in and lock" rails that you attatch to the dvd rom Etc. you'll see my problem soon when i post some pics, im going to have to make a couple of plates to help.
ok well here are the pics (click for larger image) case before = mess my Fan controller problem, i fixed it with some good old tape I took the blue leds off of the rear fan as im a UV kinda guy and they down out the UV. was a simple un-solder job. Oh the niceness. i tried to hide most of the wires but i also wanted some shown so it didnt look to empty. I really like the set of wires coming down the central bit. I took off the side fan as i didnt like it and i dont need it. without the fan though the metal grill wouldnt stay on and it looks stupid without it. so i drilled holes in the back of these plastic uv reactive studs i had and use them as a sort off bolt and it worked well. I tried taking a pic in the dark so you can see it glow to the UV but my camera is crappy . il borrow my dads one (which takes UV pics really well) at the weekend. i might aswell show you the crappy pic it took
