Project: Shuttle Ice Cube - 22 September

    PROJECT COMMENTS HERE

    The Plan
    -----------------------

    1. To make my shuttle quiet.
    2. Have overclocking potencial.
    3. Just to look good.

    WC Parts used
    -----------------------

    > Black Ice Micro rad.
    > Laing 12v DDC pump.
    > Custom made spiral CPU block.
    > Modded X-ice chipset block.
    > Danger Den blue fillport.
    > Generic 10mm clear tube.
    > Inovatek Screw fittings.

    Total cost: £120 / $230

    Progress
    ----------------------

This pic shows my pump mouted on its holding bracket.
I made the bracket out of some spare aluminum I had laying around

As you can see in the pic below, I am gonna use some bolts to hold the bracket in place. It can also be removed when I need to take the motherboard out.

Do you think it's gonna fit? :D

    [IMG] [IMG]

This shows how close the pumps tubes are to the graphic card.

Lastly, the back plate which will hold the radiator. Not decided if I wanna have either a 80/92/120mm fan for pulling the air through the rad?

Sorry for the late update, but I have had this on order for 4 weeks now and it has only arrived today. There was a problem with the manufacturer. I would just like to thank somesite for their excellent customer support and shipping it next day for me at no extra charge :)

Okay, a few pics of the block installed in my X800 Pro AGP.

    ArkticFreezer AAF-X800AGP Details

The block is only 16mm deep making it perfect for shuttles and other SFF computers alike. Installed in my Shuttle, there is 3~4mm clearance between the block and the side of the case. To make the block fit 100%, I will have to do a little filling to just shave 1~2mm off the case for the tubing to fit correctly. Thanks for looking :)

I just got the CNC'd pump mouting bracket this morning and have now installed the wc system. Before I go a head and fill the system, I just need to make minor adjustments before a final install, so don't expect it finished just yet.....

    Pics :D

Final update should be sometime over the weekend when I will have a bit more time to fill the system :cooldude:

Well, I got busy last night and filled her up :D

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

When I first powered the pump on, it was noisey as hell, but once alot of the air was removed, it became so quiet I could barely hear it.
Air in the system loop is a big problem though as most of the air bubbles just get pumped around the loop constanly because there is not enough time for them to travel up the T junction. I really should have put a drain on the loop, which would have allowed me to remove most of the air in the first place :duh:

When I get all the air out and have everything else that I want to do completed, I will post some temps and possible overclocks here for ya.

    Final Update

All the system is filled up now with most of the air bubbles taken out.

    Temps

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Don't think it's gonna take an overclock for a long period as the temp get to 43C under full load or after 2 an a bit hours of CS:S or UT2005.

It's been a good build and I hope you have all enjoyed watching.

Awesome work dude :thumb: It's just a shame it didn't wield better overclocks/ temperatures.
