my parents lived in Tyler then moved to Louisville. Then we moved north to Pa. just some trivia for you. Nice idea by the way.
we have a problem.... apparently the copper isnt going to work.... not without redoing it all.... it pushes the block away from the card... so about after 5 minutes of running... the video freezes up.... will have it fixed *hopefully* later on today....
I live in Carrollton, next to Louisville, thought Id say... nice shuttle, Im thinking of doing something like this to myn.
That's too bad mate. I thought the copper was a great idea How are you planning on fixing it? Oh and nice work!
it's fixed and im posting from the computer just decided to put the original barbs back in the block... and put the tygon on them.... should help flow rates as well... (i didn't think they'd fit... or i would have done that in the first place) ill post pictures when i start working on the cover
Ok, problem has struck! So, I will ask you all... It seems when I do anything for any lengths of time now, my system freezes up. I can run windows fine in safe mode... with no problems. But if I try and boot up normally, before it even loads up windows, my monitor looks like snow on the tv with no reception. Or, if it works, I can run windows for about 5 min, but anytime I try and do something, like run warcraft... the whole system crashes. OR.. (yes 3 possibilities when I turn it on) when it loads the welcome screen for windows my monitor goes black and turns itself off. Then my computer goes into an endless cycle of rebooting. I think I have fried my gpu.... is that what it sounds like? or maybe not even that (really dont want to have to replace my card)
Sounds like your CPU is cooking. When you enter safe mode, windows cuts your CPU speed by about 25 percent, if I remember correctly. I can't remember if that's still true, but it's definitely a possibility. That might be why your CPU is running fine in safe mode, but not in regular windows. But then again, I could be wrong.
Yes, I have a pretty good idea...I'm in Longview now. Small world huh? So actually I'm about 25 miles or so east of you lol.
I was thinking this was a possibility as well, problem is... according to the bios... the CPU is only running at 34C but i dont know how to remedy that either if it is the case using ATItool the GPU temp rises from 38C at startup and gets to 41C before it freezes up Speedfan reports the max temp of the CPU as 37C any other suggestions? edit: on the SN85G4v1 the 2nd temp is the CPU temp if im not mistaken (in Speedfan) correct?
Another thing.... When I enable the VGA drivers, thats when it gets all snowy. Lines through startup screen: These lines are through the machine posting as well.... most of the time.... Snowyness at welcome screen: Only when the drivers for the vid card are enabled....
=( That sucks dude... I have no idea what could be wrong. If I were you, I would go around and just test different things. (IE, ram, etc)
i had the same problem with my x800pro card after messing a little much with it so i guess your card i f***** . to bad.
Normally I'd say that's not the problem, but there's a good chance they're making it so the cooler isn't making proper contact so I'm gunna have to agree with that one.
its all replaced... and yea the copper was scrapped but it was too late.... the card was dead... tried it in 2 computers replaced the card
I knw othe tubes were used to make tight bends, but can they also be a kind of passive cooler? (It would be interesting to see a case mod with Wc with no radiator and just fins on copper pipes... ) nice case and suchtoo ... My god my mom worked in Carrollton. Did you ever go to *I think it is* Jim Joyner, DVM Carrollton West Pet Hospital 3729 Old Denton Road Carrollton, TX 75007 she used to be the manager
