I have recently aquired a K63-400 and matching mobo and 512mb RAM from the old man when he upgraded, and i plan to use those, a shuttle psu, hard drive and network switch and turn it into a nice silver server.

    A couple of questions:

    1) Whats the best way to cool this server? I want it to be silent or at the least extrmely silent.

    2) Best place to get alu or similar metal

    3) Best place for stylish reset/power buttons.

If anyone has any other suggestions please feel free to add them

    1) Either watercool, or incorporate large quiet fans (120s)

    2) Most likely at a local hardware shop

    3) Depends on where in the world the dark place is...

You don't say where you are located at but sign shops are a good source for aluminum. I am lucky enough to work near a sign shop supply house. I can get what they call 080 aluminum sheets that around 2mm thick fairly cheap.
