I HATE to say this, but...yes.. the gears are TOO cute. They don't come off as especially "steampunk quality" to me?

That would make them look better still. :hip:

I could do with being a little more like Mads to be honest because that kinda feedback it involves more work if you choose to do it yes but it also increases the awesomeness quite a bit if done well & that's no BS so it's best to have honest creative feedback, that kinda feedback has often helped make my projects a bit & sometimes a lot better, it's always optional though. :)

I guess I just hate suggesting more work on top of what a modder sets out to do. :D

I so missed all these replies... sometimes the sub emails don't work right...

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

LOL Thanks. More on the way.

    Thanks!

    Maybe with some more.

Maybe but I don't have an airbrush.

Some ideas that come out of the forums are good ones. Time is my enemy with this one though so only so much I can do.

Every humans kryptonite especially modders, time or money, people busy making money lack time & people with time lack money but if things were too easy we wouldn't enjoy all the successes in life anywhere near as much. :D

Your doing awesome Fuga considering your working & have a family & managing to squeeze in some high quality modding, also reminds me why I try to not suggest more work to modders. :D

Been working hard to get everything done.

Here is the glue I ended up using. it works great.

Got my Bitspower Multi-Link adapters in.

Bit of bad news... FC10 broke. I think it broke when I way trying to push it into the 5.25" bays. its a tight fit and my finger slipped and hit one of the vacuum tubes. Lamptron is sending me 2 new ones :D

I started the piping. Left pipe is from the pump top outlet to the 240 rad. Right pipe is from the 240 rad to the 480 rad.

Right side has a small dent. I may replace this pipe but you can't see it with the front panel on.

    First connection on the mobo.

    2nd

    3rd & 4th

Inside the case with the 5th tube

Last tube from the GPU to the res

    More fittings came in!

Here is the grill for the 50 mm fan

Drain port. there is a T line between the 360 and 480 radiator.

    LEDs on

Now for the front panel. I used JB Weld to hold it in place.

    BAH! A gap...

    Add more JB Weld

And then sand the hell out of it.

Now that that is done I need to add the leather and grill. I like it!

I picked up some old gauges. Not sure if I am even going to use them but they were $10...

    Testing...

    Add some tubes

I threw a blue LED in the res to see what it would look like.

    Underexposed

No idea how to hide these cables from the front I/O ports...

    My fill port :D

And finally I flushed all the blocks to make sure no crud was in there.

More to come soon. I got my LEDs in today so I'm going to start working on that ASAP.

    Cheers till next time,

    Fuga

I like it! The tubing looks great... I´m not a fan of leather, but it looks good. Not sure about the gauges though. They are nice but a bit excessively. Steampunk modders in general, they seem to have a way of overdoing things, adding more and more gears, and then the mandatory use of random gauges ofcourse. Less is more, even here, if you do it well. But that´s just me talking. This is a great build!!

Thanks. Good luck on your project!

Thanks! Probably won't keep the blue though. I got new Amber LEDs in last night and they look pretty good. I may also try Green...

    Thanks!

Well thanks! TJ11 has alot of modding potential but people are afraid to cut or paint anything over $200 themselves.

Thanks! I'm not sure about the gagues either. I may keep 1 but no more. I have a few more gears coming just to give something more to the front and to the solid panel. Hopefully it will look as good on it as it does in my head. $110 for all the new gears because they take over 2 hours to cut and laser cutters charge per the minute...

    HAHA Thanks man.

Thanks! Just a few more things to do.

Lamptron shipped my FC10 tubes. I wonder how long they will take to get here? :wallbash:

Great mod, Fuga! I've been following your progress through your blog and the group on Facebook - should've realized that there's a build log somewhere!
