    Project: Storm Shadow

So, time for a GI Joe mod. The victim case is the Raidmax Blackstorm, even though this one is clearly white.

My favorite part is how the case butterflies open

The first thing I had to do was remove the blue trim to paint

Then I cut out that hideous honeycomb wannabe mesh

I painted the trim with a white plastic primer

And then red. You'll see that red and white will be a common theme here

Once it dried I put it back in bezel

I've had these red LED case feet that I've been meaning to use

Next is the window. I just had to draw out a rough shape to cut

And I didn't follow that path at all

I added this cool graphic to the window

Mounting the window was easy because I used the latches that held the previous side vent in place

    And there it is. Cool

The panel is back in place, but the blue drive latches look stupid

I just had to paint the drive bay covers

Now to the fix the front intake

Great start. I have some of those feet from when CompUSA was closing their brick and mortar stores. I think mine are blue though.

This used to be from a mesh intake box found at Office Depot

I cut it out and slid it into place

Next, I have to change the default blue intake to a red one

By itself, it looks odd, so I need a shroud

    With the fan on

I changed the rear fan to red too, but the slot covers look dumb

    So they get painted white

And now they're back in place

    Looking really good thus far

Time to move on to the right side where this cool fan shroud swings out. I won't have to piant it because no one will be able to see the blue here anyway. I will add a 80mm red fan though

Time for a little paint to liven up this panel

It's on the right side and no one will see it

I got an red 80mm LED fan from Coolmax

My unique touch to this mod will be a carry handle made of a scabbard. The sword will still be usable too

hahaa! A very nice case there!
Any plans on hardware yet? I should imagine the CH IV will fit in nicely with the case theme!
You sleeving your cables? Go MDPC-X and order white and red!
Awesome work tho, mod on bro!

No, just a case mod for now. Later I'll use the AMD Bulldozer when it ships.

I decided to add a little red to the panel with the striped part of the cobra symbol

I just made copies to an 11"x17" page

And then transferred it to the frog taped panel

    And there you go...

I bought a pipe repair kit

It'll go kind of like this

But first I need to make it white

And then cut it down to two screws

I locked down the rear as well

All of it is bolted to the inside

To carry the theme of the sword handle I added a strap to the bolts holding the scabbard

I even painted the drive to match

I disliked the tooless design, so I went with a screw instead

    I'm calling this one complete
