this is looking great. if you bondo the spine in so it looks like its coming out if the case it would look fearsome!
but keep up the interesting work

 

This is what I have in mind for the windowed left panel.



What do you think about the window, #1



or #2

The shaped cut would be nice, but having the bones back lighted would also be good. Hard call, thinking #2 tho.

 

How about something like this?

I would say # 2. If you would paint the side black & get a smoked window with some lightning at the bone behind

 

#2 but not with that cut.

 

The window needs to be something more organic shaped in my opinion. I would worry about the window after I placed the ribcage stuffs.
-I'm no doctor, but I think your poor skeleton may have some wierd birth defect! I have this image of you putting this together singing, 'hand bone connected to the... oops! don't have one of those!'

the flames are crapy,i know, but just to show you my idea they are good enough... the red thing stands for red plexy. instead of cathode light i thing it would be beter if you use leds inserted in the plexy in several spots all around....

 

YEAH!!!!!! This is what I'm talking about! This will make it HELL MOD! This is an KICKASS idea, DO it buddy! Nice. Can't wait to see what the hell you will do

I would make the flames come eating the arm rather then flames coming from the arm Just my opinion

 

Alright, I had a nearly new can of expanding foam, but it was clogged. I gently used a drill to punch a small hole, but it went all the way in!! The pressure BLEW and sprayed everywhere!



I added the foam to the base of the spine to make it appear as though the spine is barely poking through. This effect also covers up the support pins and rivets.







Here's what it looks like when you add black and red to the foam. LET THE FOAM CURE BEFORE PAINTING. Otherwise it'll dissolve!











There's a lot to be done. The paint is a first coat. When done it will look like "cooling lava", some parts will be black, some will be red. Please don't judge too harshly as I've just begun.

 

Pretty freaking scary! Good job so far!
