Definately cool etch, did you do it with a dremel? If so, what kind of bit did you use? Nice job so far! ~Davy
thanks ya i used a dremel im not sure of the bit's name but its like a grinding stone only its got a sort of rounded point on it and its wider at the base lets call it the tech bit hehehe
UPDATE 12/24/02 got my 12" blue ccfl today in the mail its pretty sweet, it makes the etch glow radiantly with all the hardware in the background gleaming blue hehehe makes a nice combination with my white ccfl hidden inside the front bezel to light up the fan duct, will post pics probly on the 27th, possibly the 26th but im not sure yet
update: pics allright, heres some pics of the ccfl installed looks pretty phat i was pondering over where to put the ccfl, and decided that i'd put it on the side at the back because i think it gives off more light into the case that way, allthough it does the same on the bottom, but my rad is in the way and its a 12" ccfl not bad for $10US for the bulb, inverter, and switch eh? allright here they are, the switch fit nicely into the case badge area, so thats where i decided to put it, cept the holesaw i used to cut it with is borked and then best i could salvage was a somewhat uncentered hole, but thats a detail easily overseen now we move onto the mounting of the inverter, and i dont wanna here any OMG WTF IS THAT, RETURN OF THE ENERMAX etc etc. because yes, it truely is "Return of the Enermax 450watt PSU" better than inside the case isnt it? note: inverter is the green heatshinked bit on the top left of the case. and there you have it, im expecting to have another update finished for next week, im getting a new cdrw/dvd combo drive and am going to experiment with it and vinyl die, if that works out then i will probly redo the front bezel with vinyl die. i am also getting 4blue, 4 red, and 4 UV leds, ive got a special treat for the UV ones so stay tuned heres the question: do i have to sand the front down or can i use the die overtop of the paint?
Vinyl dye bonds with plastic, so if u want to keep the texture of the drive don't sand it, just remember that if u want to sand the dye away it's gonna be a lot of work
update number too allright now we just have to wait till the end of january this post will probably find its way to the back of the forum by that time, but unfortunately thats the soonest i can have my LCD here perhaps i will have an update later in the week, my new LG 48x burner needs some modding love with a nice window and perhaps some red, blue, or UV leds.
I am sorry to say, but you have misspelled "Kwyjibo" "K. W. Y. J. I. B. O. Kwyjibo. 22 points. Plus... 50 points for using all my letters. Game's over, I'm outta here!" -Bart Simpson
OMG WTF IS THAT, RETURN OF THE ENERMAX?!?!? But seriously, do something about those cables!! What a mess!!
What the heck is lol (I always thought it meant lots of luck) and why do you keep using it at the end of your sentances.
as you should anyways LOL hah k, im currently adding a blowhole with 80mm fan, grill, and aluminum filter to the top panel, ran into a difficulty, as my rivets wernt long enough, and the awkward design of the top window is making it hard to do :/ LOL haha, stay tuned, will have pics soon when its done. *edit: will have pictures later of my new stealthed cdrw as well
