This morning was like christmas, except this time there was presents for me! Both of my shipments arrived on the same truck.

    Some piccies:

Excuse the qality of my pics.. I have this half-assed "pocket" digital camera, with no zoom or focus... and it kind of randomly decides what's in the frame and what's not...

Anyway, I'll be testing out some configurations, and playing with some mod ideas....

    Til next time.

So, it looks like I'll be mounting the rad at the bottom of the case. I was hoping the top PSU rack would allow enough clearance for the rad, but it looks like that's not the case, which means I would pretty much have to remove the whole cage. maybe if I can find a shroud that isn't so tall... mebbe one of those acrylic ones from voyeurmods.

The good thing about this is that there's a grill on the bottom of the case already, so airflow is taken care of, I just need to mount the rad somehow.

    here's some piccies:

That's an awesome mod man. How'd you get the cats a$$ and tail to stick out the side of the case like that? Sweet :dremel: :hehe:

I'll be starting the modding soon. This is just the start.

I really like the case, never seen a design like that before, and I'll really be interested what you can do to improve it. I'm subscribed :thumb:

Here's a PS mockup of the applique idea I had...

I sent the design to jesse@bigfoot, so we'll see how it goes.

I really like the case you got it shows a lot of potential as a killer mod. I especially like the window Iidea in the mockup, how are you going about doing that design? Plus I didn’t see what kind of case it is?

Well, if that is a window I spy, you could try your hand at dremel and LED work, etching out that pattern, and using leds to light it up.

go4t is right, it is in fact a CM stacker... one of the first 2 in Canada, in fact. As for the window, I'm going to be tinting it and jesse@bigfoot computers will be doing an applique in silver for me for the PCB pattern. I haven't figured out the top yet, but I may put one there, too.

I guess I should update with some stuff I have in the works:

    PSone LCD for the front.
Covering te multipanel with some kind of door.
    the window(s) -tinted
mounting my 2X120 rad somewhere... still not sure
red led's in my RBX and chipset block

That's all I can remember now... :duh:

Looks cool, those appliques look nice, would look killer with the actual circuit wire parts lit up!

Haven't been working on this much, been working and breakdancing a lot lately

I'm re-working the esthetics of the case, and the functionality of the cooling.

I've got a sketch of what I want to cut into the side panel and top. The window will still be tinted, but the top 2 have been added, and will be done in black modder's mesh, to allow fresh air to come in from the side, and out the top.

I'm also working on the design for a peice of plexi to isolate the PS and HDD's from the rest of the system (a la the new Lian Li's)

    More to come...

Have you got any idea what you're gonna do about dust? the mesh let's a load of the stuff through and it'll clog up fans like nobody's business....

New log, new case, new fun

    Yea!

Looking good already! But I would have the small mesh side window at the bottom, not the top, to allow cold air to travel all the way up the case and create a convection current.

Yeah, the original coolermaster window has a big filered opening, so I'm going to use filter from that on the side, so that that's not a problem.

Also, here's the Idea I had to Isolate the PSU and HDD's (they make a lot of heat) from the rest of the system:
should work fairly well, the floppy will be above the partition, because that's how the cage sits in the bottom. I'll probably cut a hole in the plexi near the front to route the cables.

    More on the way.

Sorry if this sounds a little stupid, but heat travels up so surly the HD's and psu etc would be best at the top?

I really don't have a clue do i :duh:

you're right about heat going up, but if there's enough air-flow then it won't matter much.

would like to see how this case turns out...
