I have had a BeQuiet Dark Power PRO 550W which buzzes when my monitor is switched on.

I have tried plugging in the monitor from a different socket group and even running a very long extension to other rooms, but that doesn't seem to help.

When the monitor is off then the PSU is dead quiet even under heavy load. It only happens when the monitor is switched on. I don't have a second monitor so I can't try a distance test with this monitor at the moment.

    Anyone got any ideas?

I thought it might be caused by an electrical field generated by the LCD monitor's PSU or some other part of the monitor (Dell 2209WA).

It is a little annoying when every other component in the PC is silent. :(

EDIT: Sorry, should be in Tech Support.

I'm thinking it might be worth trying a high quality VGA lead or HDMI, the better ones tend to have filters in them to stop any interference.

Yeah for sure, any decent cable will have the ferrite chokes built-in right near the connectors.
