I have an Antec Quattro psu... I want to remove the braiding that's already on them and eventually do them properly... Now any tips or ideas as to how I can get the molded rubbery black bit off... ideally the easiest and or quickest.... And suggestion I've already gone through 2 spare cable and a number of cuts to my fingers...

It's where the heat shrink would normally go but this is a solid lump of rubber encasing the cables...
