question regarding dremel

    i recently ordered a Dremel from the states, which runs on 120 V. Is there anyway i can get transformer for the dremel to increase the voltage to 220 V so i can use it here in ireland ?

    yep you can get a step down transformer from some where like maplins.

    why did you buy it from the states cos buy the time you buy the transformer etc it will be more expensive than buying on from the UK

    I accidentaly bought it, I was thinking that the dremel might be an international model. :S. I got the dremel for only $55 including postage. Since a dremel on average costs between euro 85 - euro 120.

    Don't forget that's only a 45W convertor - check the Power rating of your dremel before you go buying and plugging.

    yep, i am aware of that. just out of curiosity how much would a dremel cost in the UK?

    It depends on the model, and whether it comes with accessories or not? Have a look here for models and [example] prices.

    Although it's now been discontinued by Tooled-up... I personally use a MultiPro 395...
