Graphics Quick question about Dual GPU non SLI mobo

    So it's in the title. If I'm going to put a 690 or the like into a single PCI-E slot on a non-SLI supporting mobo, will there be any problems? (What does the SLI chip actually do then?)
    Blame Crysis 3 and my friend asking :D

    The GTX 690 itself contains the necessary chipset to SLI with itself!

    That's not to say that it'll enable you to add a second GTX 690 because your motherboard is still incapable of SLI.

    Th more important question is what chipset is your motherboard, as running a GTX 690 on a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot will cripple the performance.

    As stated above you can run any Dual GPU card on a non SLI/Crossfire motherboard. :)
