    I need some PC3200 for a 2500+ system. (nf7-s mobo)

I want to OC the CPU to 400mhz, and i dont need to overclock the ram.

Will my system run faster if i get brand name ram instead of Infideon ram if i wasnt OCing the ram?

    is the gain worth it?

I think your confused my friend :)

If you dont overclock your ram then you could go for some more expensive ram which you could get some lower times.

But if you get some pc3200 you could overclock you front side bus to at least 200mhz, but that is with some good ram tho. That way the CPU speed will increase too.

Either way its probably worth getting some good ram.

i would recomend twin mos stuff, not as fast as corsair but stable and better value

twin mos do 3 main flavours 2.5 CL, 2CL and 2.5 Cl using winbond. I've got some of the 2.5 and that performs very close to corsair xms without overclocking. the winbond stuff is meant to be the best not used it myself.
