So I'm in need for a new mouse. I'm thinking about the Razer mamba! http://www2.razerzone.com/mamba/trailer.html What do you think?
I think that Logitech > razer in every way. And i think that your processor is bottlenecking your video card
I know it does but it runs all of my games on full settings no problem, so why upgrade? even at 2560 x 1600 max settings.... =D
I'd recommend the Deathadder, it's exceedingly comfortable, and optical sensor is faultless. The mamba looks very similar though, except for the two small buttons on the left. I pressume these are for adjusting the sensitivities. On the deathadder you need to press a button on the bottom to change between sensitivity profiles. Some other Razer mice have buttons on the bottom to set the DPI and polling frequency there and then, which is a bit better. That said, I've never bothered changing sensitivity profiles.
Ill second the Deathadder, very nice mouse to use. I'd recommend buying a proper mouse pad aswell to make the most of it.
I'm sticking with my MS Intellimouse, it's amazingly comfortable (and I have arthritis), and the scroll wheel is just so smooth it's unbelievable I always liked the looks of the Logitech MX Revolution as well
I've got Razor DiamondBack and I'm perfectly happy with it. I like that (special)surface doesn't get sweat even during long gaming sessions.
that Razor mouse looks fantastic, me wants! i think if you can afford it, get it. i cannot afford to drop that amount on a peripheral, so i just bought a G5 when it was on offer.
i love razer gear, i got the lycosa keyboard and the Lachesis mouse. very happy with both, the Razer mamba sould serve you well! but you do know its wireless right?
Razer Mamba is nice but seems to be a tad expensive, sure it's wireless and wired but when will you ever use anything more then say the 1800 DPI on a Razer Deathadder (which is an awesome mouse by the way). My vote is for Razer Deathadder.
I'll probably end up picking this one up myself... Currently using a Logi MX Revolution. Love it, but I'm starting to look at fingertip mice a tad more.
I'd suggest the Lachesis, but really; you can't go wrong with Razer mice ... or is that mouses? I know the plural form of the animal "mouse" is spelled as "mice", but does the same hold true for the flesh-and-blood rodent's technological siblings?
yep, i got not so large hands, and i find my G5 to be a bit of a hand full. for some reason, my single player gaming became more pleasurable because it's so comfortable, but my kill-ratio has gone down the drain in multiplayer for some reason.
You'll soon get used to the speed I own a Deathadder, fantastic mouse (did cause some cramp in my index and middle fingers for the first couple of days use) but even with all settings set to max I now find it a little slow.
You can't go wrong with Razer mice. Started with a Krait, moved on to a Lachesis about a year ago (The Krait's still used by my friend - works perfectly). Size-wise, I have large hands, but I find the Lachesis perfect - I guess it depends on how you hold it. I love the idea of the Mamba, now if only it were symmetrical (I'm a leftie, so...). In any case, try it before you buy it. Get what fits your hand the best, be it the Mamba, DeathAdder, Lachesis or any other
I have meduim to big hands and use a Razer Death adder, but I'm kid of used to smaller mouses. You are right that it's important to consider as some people may find it a bit awkward if the are used to those big comfy mouses. That said I do really like my Razer mouse.
