My daughter is getting a PS3 for xmas.

I would like to get her a 2nd controller but the genuine ones are pretty pricey.

It would only be for occasional use so I'm think of getting a 3rd party one, anyone got any experience of which ones are good and which ones are to be avoided.

    Thanks

My past experiences of console controllers is simply that first party is the way forward, despite the cost. Third party (cheaper) units usually fall apart, feel cheap and simply don't do the job well. Amazon will flog you a DS3 for £32, or you could try eBay...

Rule is turned on its head with some of the 'pro' controllers out there, but they cost more than a normal controller anyway.

I'd imagined they would be much better quality but this controller would only be used a handful of times a year.

there is only one good "fake controller" and even there hit and miss, because yes, the Chinese are making fakes of the fakes.... amazing.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Wir...K_Controllers_Attachments&hash=item2c6a8d9025

there called P3 controllers, but like i said, there's even fakes of them about. i got a good one for £9.99 from ebay and its really impressive for the price Vs the over priced offical pads.

Feels well made and solid, and the battery lasts quite a while as well. (not as long as the official ones but still good)

even comes with a years warranty.

BTW, own brand GAME hardware is total shyt... avoid.

Going by the packaging is your best bet, and UK based stock.
dont buy one without the official "P3" retail packagin

Id say your safe with the one i linked.

Looks like although this items location was stated as London is in fact coming from Hong Kong as it still hasn't turned up.

Knowing my luck it's probably going to be fake if it turns up at all :(
