More pics will come as soon as I find more time!
not usual in a project to have pc, monitor, speakers, mouse and keyboard all done in the same colour. Looks great
I REALLY like the color selection - plus as pranks7er says, the Dremel work is outstanding! What paint and color did you use? EDIT:: Wait... How were you able to paint the monitor and still keep the Phillips logo intact!?
Dad, my guess would be he probably coated the logo with vaseline using a very fine brush, then once the painting was finished, alcohol was applied to dissolve the vaseline, leaving the original surface intact. Or he could've painted it on after the fact. Hard to tell from that distance. Oh, I probably should comment on the case....um, it's really red.
I was thinking of dyeing the fan holders too, but you can't even see them with the side on. I used SEM vinyl dye, color was firethorn red. I taped around the Philips logo (CAREFULLY) and cut off the excess with a razor. I used about a can of vinyl dye alone on the monitor. I'm moving, so I've put the system on Ebay for anyone interested in it. It's item #2759651625.
I haven't done it either, but I do remember reading it somewhere at some point, bollocks if I can remember where though. mj, did you manage to cut w/out gouging the plastic at all? I'd imagine it'd be really tough to do so.
I gouged the aluminum on the side a couple of times but then I used bondo auto-body filler to patch it up. then i sanded it and repainted. good as new!
Just a nit pick thing but how about changing that green led on the front to red. Just a little finishing touch.
Nice. I'd like to see those drive cages painted, a glowing CPU fan and maybe some sort of better finish on the ends of the shower hoses. Apart from that...
