'There was a little excitement leading to this review simply because we have no idea how this heatsink look like or even who produces it when we were first told about testing it out. A friend of ours from Hardwarezone.com called us up one day and ask us if we are interested to review this heatsink. "Igloo", he says. To be honest, I think we have heard this name before but we didn't really check it out in detail. So with a pretty vague impression, we accepted this heatsink wondering if it could give us a surprise or two, hopefully good ones.

By now that we are writing this review, we should have been familiar enough with this heatsink. Produced by GlacialTech, this Taiwan-based company boast an impressive world-class engineering with 8 Ph.Ds and a string of patents with their thermal cooling solutions. And surprisingly, their current line of top performance heatsinks are all made of aluminum and not copper. While most users have the impression that copper is king, GlacialTech chose to steer away from that. Very interesting, and we shall see how their top of the line socket-A heatsink, Igloo 2400 perform later. '
