This is the case I decided not to use for Project F40. One of the original side panels is damaged, but the case I'm currently using for my server has side panels that fit this case. Unfortunately they aren't the right style for the F40 case. Anyway, I'm going to mod this one too. I started on it last night. Eventually it will be painted dark blue. The main feature of this case will be the lights and colours. I'm not going to put too many fiddly bits on it as it needs to be reliable (It's my proxy server; all my computers connect to the 'net through it) Unfortunately I'm kind of stuck... I need to put the system in another case to work on this one, but I don't have any more spares :/ I'll have to put either this one or the F40 case on hold until the other one is finished. I'll probably do this one first, as it won't take as long The system currently in this case is not the server; it's the system that will be put into the F40 case when it's done. The fans were originally green, as you can see: After a few minutes' work: Case before (a few weeks ago) Dremel time! Looking better... But still needs some work Much better! Project Stats Date: Thu 18 Mar 2004 Cost to date: $24.00 Working Time: 2hrs Dremel disks used: 0.25 Dremels killed: 0 Parts discarded: 0 Parts destroyed: 0 Next: Not fully planned... heaps of things to do! Looking for: RGB Neon/CCFL Next update expected: Fri 19 Mar 2004
Sorry everyone, I've been busy! Painting mice, etc... I haven't done much, but I've got the lower front bezel basically finished The top part has been painted too, but I didn't get a pic. It's dark metallic grey. I'll keep slowly working on both current projects, hopefully I'll find an instrument panel for the F40 soon...
