I saw the demo video/teaser/what ever and could only think "why?". Does someone really think the info and that product is useful? Am I just being boring when I say that's just another useless gimmick?

That said, kudos to Roccat for bringing something truly new to the market, it isn't easy to come up with a new keyboard-related idea.

And please tell me, who uses macro keys at that side of the keyboard... seriously.

Well, it's not for everybody then! :) I really like it and I can see it being really useful, perhaps not so much for macro keys (I've tried using them but just end up not using them at all) but I really do like the stats display - I guess the app could be set for alarms dependant on values. It's something I strove for while using a Noritake VFD.

I love the idea of this with the dockable iPhone but what happens when apple bring out one in a new form factor, will I be forced to by some sort of adaptor or even a new version of the keyboard.

It is certainly remissiant of the Razer Blade's fancy contxt sensitive lcd keys.
Has anybody here tested the app at all, is it easy to set up and does it feed system info from and setup or are there system requirements?

I'm happy with my 6GV2. I don't have a smartphone of any kind either, let alone an iPhone. Way to limit your customer base Roccat. A bluetooth connection compatible with windows android and iOS would've been better.

Totally useless prospect when you think of it, but I still want one ._.
