Hi just started to play stalker, and i'm curious about something. In reference to the milittary blockade at the begginning where you have to pay 500 to pass, is there any negative to just killing them all and taking there stuff, i mean if you go on the bridge above its really easy too. Will they respawn? So yeah just want to know before i carry on any further. Many thanks
I tried to kill them, they took cover behind the cars, then flanked me coming up the embankment on the right and killing me. I haven't played Stalker since then lol
Lol, i'm only playing it on stalker difficulty which i think is the equivelant of normal. But they just sat there and let me shoot them in the face while they had a good go at the architecture around me
First time round I gunned them down, there's no penalty other than the obvious health risk of a firefight. Second time playing I "splinter celled" everyone in the village, and use Wolf's AK-74 to even the odds a little; again no penalty as he disappears whether you kill him or not. Grenades if you've got them
They never even offered to let me pass for 500 Rubles, they did offer me lots of bullets which I kindly returned as I had no need for them, they grudgingly accepted them back though. I like to recycle, it is good for the environment, real or game. I have been having a problem in Pripyat with my saved game not loading and the game crashing, it only loads the autosave properly. I re-saved over my saved game but it still crashes. I tried 2 earlier backup extra saves I had created incase of problems but they do the same. Still only the autosave loads propperly. I have a legitimate disk and key and the latest patch 1.0006 installed.
Well i ended up killing them all and carrying on with it, they just can't deal with you being directly above them.
