I'm running an Acer Aspire Revo 3600. It has a 1.6Ghz Intel atom 230 single core processor and a Nvidia ION GPU.

Currently my GPU is running at 70 degrees Celsius
my CPU is running at 61 degrees Celsius

Are these safe? What would be a scary temperature?

    Regards,

Far as I know those work the same as any other chip, long as it stays in the 70's maybe even 80's your all good but if it goes into the 90's beware.

For the CPU - 100C is the maximum temp. If the CPU reaches that, it will begin to throttle down and may even shut down the computer. For normal, everyday use, the CPU should not go over 70C. However, if you are benching it is ok to see temps up to about 90C.

For the GPU, 70C is fine. As long as it stays under 90C or so you should be ok.

My temperatures seem odd, my CPU runs at 25-30 degrees celcius yet my GPU won't drop below 60....
