It is all good quality kit although the case doesn't offer much airflow if you are going to put a gaming graphics card in it. If it was me I would switch the case.
the case will be fine so long as your not doing any massive overclocking. iv tried to kill graphics cards by overheating them and it just does not happen... all you need is your GPU to stay around or below 80c and you will be fine... my mates 5770 has been running at close to 100c for years.. (his heat-sink fan stopped working and the heat-sink is loose..he dont care as it still works fine)
The issue is that the Scan deal will expire in about 30 minutes - choosing a case & graphics card may take longer. However, a new Today Only page full of deals will go up and last the weekend. I would suggest outlining your requriement as per this thread: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=182284. Then you can get the guidance needed.
Yeah, if your not completely happy with the build, dont go for it, today only deals like that only save you about %15 ish anyways and there's always bargins to be had... simple as. I would be happy to help spec a £500 rig if you fill out the form (below) so we know where we stand.
Budget: £500 - but can accomodate a slight increase Main uses of intended build: home theatre/media playback, file servers, web browsing, streaming and word processing + Depending the system build may start to play games. I already own an xbox hence playing games on the pc might be limited Parts required: all Previous build information (list details of parts): 2006 Dell pc ( I am very sure it is now completely outdated Monitor resolution: Please recommend but not part of the budget ( will buy a decent monitor later) Storage requirements: I was thinking of combination of SSD + Normal hard ( 1tb should be sufficent) Will you be overclocking: yes/no (delete as required) what is over clocking ? Any motherboard requirements (no. of USB, Xfire/SLI, fan headers): usb 2/3, hdmi, sata 3, ram memory capacity of above 24gb, Extra information about desired system: I already have space for a mid tower- but may accomodate a full tower Thanks
Just having a read about overclocking - Will OC improve speed by 50% - if then may consider it if it doesn't blow the budget. thank again
I've not seen it updated before half 3 in weeks. It's my regular whinge thing at the moment. OP, it's a good deal. I'm also not a fan of that case though, although it does look slightly better in person. The proper full on silencio is lovely but this one is not! Overall it's a good PC though with a 560ti in it or something similar. (Although 6 series out soon, buying a mid ranged GPU at the moment is a no no).
