What are the diffreneces between DDR registered and DDR ECC RAM??? THX
Error Checking & Correcting
...or, something like that.
But yes, this ram is slower but corrects errors on it's own while some motherboards have ECC for the ram built in.
Its more stable, and is slower until errors ocour in the non-error correcting memory.
If your building a high end system its worth going for. I can't find the links i want but someone was testing the differnce in performance, basically they found it to be a less than 3% drop, so your proestic manhood won't be deminished by going down the ecc path.
SO, How about the registered DDR RAM used in AMD Athlon64 FX systems..
Is it two different kinds of ram? thx a lot
