I can see plenty of info about Silverstone's SFX PSU range and I have an original 300W in my SG05. There seems to be little mention of BeQuiet's 300 and 350W SFX units. Anyone got any experience of these?? Thanks
I don't have huge power requirements (not much option in SFX...) and have seen the 350W at a good price, but wondered if it was a false economy compared to the well regarded 450W pair from Silverstone? At the moment my bench PSU is a Seasonic 250W SFX which will run s standard rig without a high power GPU. The kit is for light (sub 1080p) gaming with ITX / Ivy Pentium and a HD 5770.
I ran a 2500k at stock (95W) and a heavily OC'd Radeon 7850 (about 125W) on it without a single issue. The build you've mentioned probably won't even break 200W so will be fine too. I also have the 450W Silverstone. That's running a 3570k at 4.2Ghz and GTX 770, but honestly, given your requirements, you may as well spend half the cash and get the Bequiet.
Thanks Parge, that's the the sort of recommendation I was looking for. Let's see what sort of deal I can get, then it's off to Parvum
