With the uptake of SSD's within the CPC/BitTech community and the vast Steam library many readers own a short tutorial on junction links will be of great value. Having the latest or favorite games on fast loading SSD and occasional games on HD (or even a NAS box) will benefit many users. Also works for productivity bundles that install to the same place (eg MS Office or the Adobe CS suites) where a few applications are used regularly but most rarely if at all.
Spambot? Hambot maybe, but I'm fairly sure I'm not last time I looked. Guess I'm just not hip and happening like you crazy kids. WRT the original post re: junction points, they sound like they're useful, but without a tutorial/example, I'm not really sure. Any chance of something?
@ Tattysnuc... My spambot comment was not aimed at you buddy... It was aimed at the OP... 3 posts and gone... Smells like a spambot to me.
Not a spam bot, just a very irregular poster. Junction links are used by win 7 librarys + desktop/start menu short cuts etc. Way back towards end of the comments section of a Bt ssd review was a post about using junction links to provide multiple locations for "program files ", steam games etc. Just hoping someone that has hacked their system to do this would share their experience. With win 7 stable and all the apps I use installed I hate the idea of hacking the os blind. Still might give it a shot after next backup.
