So i have a Dell 2407WFP in my room, and I am debating whether to get the xbox 360 HD DVD player. Now, format war aside, is it worth it for my 24" monitor? I have it positioned about 9-10 ft from me when i watch a movie on it. Do you think I would really be able to benefit from/notice the HD goodness?

can someone move this to displays or audio visual?

Some titles are ropey and offer not much better quality than SD DVD.

Some titles, e.g. 300 / Pirates of the Caribbean, Casino Royale are awesome in HD.

You will notice the difference unless you have a superb DVD player (not the 360)

Added to that the 2407 is 1080p and I only have a 1080i 32" LCD TV for watching my HD stuff on (I also have a 2407 but it's in my study)

unless you sit an inch from the screen and have tunnel vision its
not worth it, i bought the HD DVD player for my 360 and sold it in a week,
but you might aswell, as long as you keep the receipt :D

I think it's not worth, that screen is good with PC, hook it with the 360 and you will be fine, No need for HD carps, it's better yeah but cost alot. This is my idea. Good luck.
